"Living in the Question" (an interview with Kurt Wright, author of "Breaking the Rules.")
Immediately after college, Kurt joined the Pillsbury Company as a commodity trader. That's where he was first introduced to the contrarian principle of: "the crowd is always wrong." In other words, he learned to recognize that when everyone else was selling, it was probably the best time for him to be buying.
A few years later during a goal-setting contest in the Dale Carnegie Sales Course, Kurt set the first goal of his life: to become a world famous motivational speaker within 10 years. As he began to think about how reach this ambitious goal, he noticed that most everyone around him seemed to be focused on what's wrong.
Remembering what he'd learned at Pillsbury about the crowd being always wrong, he quickly saw how he could become a lone player on an empty stage, with no competition in sight, by simply becoming the world's leading expert on "what's right."
More specifically, he decided to focus his life on understanding what each of us are like at our very best, and how to be that way more of the time. Thirty eight years of asking that question have led both Kurt and his wife and business partner, Patricia, to some remarkable and exciting discoveries.
Join the E-Factor on Tuesday, February 19th when Kurt and Patricia Wright join Bruce Schneider to talk about questions; what a powerful effect they have on our life--the energy we generate, the insights we gain and answers that show up, the resources we draw to us, and the miracles we can manifest--all as a result of which questions we ask and how we ask them.
