Life is funny sometimes, how it comes full circle. After interning at FIVE STAR
my senior year of college and graduating from the University of Kansas with a
B.S. in Journalism, I decided to accept a position as an Account Executive from
CBS Radio in Kansas City instead of a position at FIVE STAR. After four years of
selling advertising and being approached by Steve Gardner (Co-owner) every year
to come back and work at FIVE STAR “because it is a pretty special place to
work", I finally believed him! Boy was he right! To get to work with such
amazing people everyday has been a blessing! Everyday I have the ability to find
speakers for companies who change the way employees think, improve the way
people do business, make an office a better place to work or just make a group
of over-worked/over-stressed employees laugh. What a great job! I am the newest
employee of FIVE STAR and I’m proud to be part of such an amazing team.

Who inspires you?
My husband
When you were a kid, what did you want to do when you grew up?
I wanted to be a Nurse so I could help people, so I’m glad I found another
industry where I can help others!
Where did you grow up? Lawrence, Kansas
Where did you go to school? The University of Kansas-Rock Chalk
Jayhawk!
Name something (or multiple some things) you do that make you unique.
I can talk REALLY fast-so I’m not sure if I could ever be a speaker because no
one would be able to understand me!
What is your favorite song of the moment? “So Small" by Carrie
Underwood
What is your favorite television show? American Idol, Grey’s
Anatomy, Brother’s and Sister’s-I can’t name just one. I’m a TV-aholic.
What is your favorite color? Purple
Favorite board game? How can you beat Candyland!
What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend? Hang out with
my dogs and husband and go to dinner with friends.
What is your favorite part of working at Five Star? Being
around so many wonderful people and being inspired everyday by so many amazing
speakers.
If you could be any animal which would it be? My dog Winston,
because he has a pretty darn good life!
If you could be any type of car which would it be? One of those
big vans with all the features –DVD Player, table, lots of seating so I can take
lots of people with me!
Your office is on fire, what do you rescue? Myself and pictures
and purse!
What keeps you going? Knowing that each day is a blessing; a
new and exciting adventure!
What are your hobbies? Decorating, dancing and cooking.
What are your worst fears? I won’t get to do everything I hope
for in life.
What is your favorite drink? Water, Tequila and Sprite with a
lime, Wine!
What is your favorite food? Sushi
What is your favorite quote? “Forgiveness is not a sign of
weakness, but an act of strength."
What animal best describes you? A cute little puppy
Glass half-full or half-empty? Half full of course and
hopefully with a really good drink in it!
How many times have you been in a car accident? 0 knock on
wood..
If you were an ad, what would be your tagline? Play. Laugh.

What is your favorite daily thing to do? Enjoy a cup of coffee
in the morning and have a really good laugh.
What is your favorite dessert? Cheesecake
Favorite vacation spot? Mexico
Favorite book? The Harry Potter series.
Favorite cooking ingredient? Butter-Have you ever made
something with butter that was not good!?
Favorite kind of chocolate? Chocolate that surrounds peanut
butter.

Reese's Peanut Butter cups-I’m sure this is shocking considering my previous
answer
